POB Business Availability Monitor
Product Description
The Business Availability Monitor is a
monitor solution that makes it possible
to find errors and identify the
consequences. In this way you can
prevent a single error from starting an
overriding effect in motion – thereby
affecting large parts of the IT-system.
Benefits to the User
With the monitor solution, you can
quickly and effectively spot all errors
as they occur, and the consequences they
may cause; irrespective of how
complicated the IT structure is or will
become. The solution includes a unique
functionality, which with help from the
different monitoring systems, gathers
information about all technical
incidents. This means that one single
monitor can give you a general overview
of your assembled IT-operation.
At the same time the solution links the
systems and the business processes
together. This means that the customers,
and thereby the services, become the
pivotal point. In this way, you are
immediately given access to a complete
general overview – and a current status
of the mutual relationships that exist
between IT-components, IT-services, and
customer agreements. All presented
together in a graphically clear window:
Monitor example 1: With the Business
Availability Monitor, the IT-system can
be monitored and observed via one single
monitor. This gives an unequalled
general overview, and is a source of
great relief in comparison to the large
number of monitors demanded today.
Create a general overview
With the Business Availability Monitor,
you will automatically be warned by
alarm about where a system breakdown has
occurred, and which customers have been
affected by the breakdown. You will also
receive information about which services
the individual customers require.
Furthermore, the solution gives you a
general overview of the escalation
processes, and operation documentation,
together with a prioritised,
chronological sequence of how the
problems should be resolved. This means
that you can effectively handle a system
breakdown and repair errors within the
existing service level agreements.
